This site is managed by Putnam County AA General Service in accordance with the 12 Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous. Our primary purpose is to carry the message of hope and unity to those struggling with Alcoholism. Many resources are available here that are of interest to alcoholics in Putnam County and the surrounding areas.

Putnam County has recently established a call system for those in need. Call or text 845-600-4098 and we will put you in touch with an experienced local AA member to speak with you or a family member who might have a drinking problem and are in need of help taking a step into AA.

If you would like to make a financial contribution to Putnam County General Services, you may do so via the Venmo info below. Or mail your contribution to:

Individual A.A. member contributions to GSO are limited to $5,000 per year; there is no limit for A.A. groups. Donations are not required we are however a self supporting entity. If you are in need of a receipt of your financial contribution one can be obtained by reaching out to the county’s treasurer.

TALK RECOVERY…The County’s New Blog

It is with much excitement that we bring you, Talk Recovery! This is the county’s newly rebranded blog which will be open to submissions from anyone in recovery within the county. You can submit short form stories, quotes, lessons learned, or any general discussion of sobriety. To submit something to be posted just send it to web@putnam.aaseny.org . Include in the subject line, talk recovery and once being proofread to ensure anonymity your submission will be put up for all to see.
